The Journey Begins Here!

Welcome to the fresh new face of Studio Bliss Photography, {break out the champagne} and oh does it feel sooooo good!  In case we have never met before, hello, my name is Elizabeth Bailey and WELCOME to my crazy life!  I own Studio Bliss Photography with the help of my amazing husband, who is my very talented graphic designer.  He works for warm plates of food, so I feel like I am getting the better end of the deal.  Here is an obligatory picture, so that you can put the name with a face...

I work at Saint Aloysius School in Springfield, IL as an art teacher and this year as the co-chair for development in the school.  Not only do I teach 3 year olds through 8th grade art, but all fundraising and events are planned by yours truly and my work sister who just so happens to teach kindergarten as well.  I run this business on nights and weekends, so yeah, life is crazy, but it's a good crazy.  (Did I mention we had 3 kids in three and a half years?)  I live for stress and should probably seek therapy.  I love both of my jobs and it's nice to have creativity infused in every aspect of my life.

In the midst of all of this crazy, somewhere, somehow change started to sneak up on me this year.  I am not one for change.  I avoid it like the plague, but here I am with highlights in my hair, and I started cramming my thighs into tights.  Big things are happening both on a personal level and in my business life.

We now have a new website- while you are here, take a look around.  Galleries have been updated, and believe me when I say that you are absolutely gonna want to stop back by on Thursday.  An incredible artist named Immanuel Ahiable has pulled together a gorgeous promo video for a project I have been working on that is near and dear to my heart.  Cafe Moxo provided us with a beautiful space to shoot in and The Pharmacy Gallery downtown opened their doors to us for the reveal.  I still cannot believe how everything has just fallen into place.  Timing is perfect!  On top of all of that, we now have a large screen for an exceptional preview experience in our home for our clients to view their images for the first time.  Oh and there is just one more little thing...

I may have told my principal, "Thank you so very much, but I think I will just take part-time teaching art next year."

I did it.  I really did it.  Instead of walking up to the challenge and dream and then tiptoeing back, I'm making it a reality.  I will now have two days a week to devote entirely to Studio Bliss, and I could not be more excited.  Big things people, big things.  I hope that all of your dreams are coming true too and until Thursday, just let love happen.  Love for yourself.  Love for those around you, because love changes everything!
