New Year, New Beginnings

Welcome to the family and welcome to the brand new Studio Bliss Photography website! I am so glad you made your way here. All of my gorgeous galleries have been updated, new headshots have been taken, and we now have a space where friends and families can easily purchase gift vouchers for their loved ones to our studio.

With incredible generosity from the Springfield Art Association and Betsy Dollar in particular, I have had a wonderful space to shoot in downtown. The Springfield Art Collective now owns the Broadwell Pharmacy building, which overlooks the Old State Capitol. I could not be more grateful, because their extreme generosity has given me the opportunity to expand my studio session offerings during the cold weather months.

Not only have I been able to begin work on indoor portraiture with beautiful lighting, but you will notice that we now have a Personal Branding & Headshot Gallery page. Covid changed the way that many businesses, both big and small, operate. Many clients began working on ways to sell products and services online. With visual imagery becoming more important than ever, Studio Bliss has been able to fill in those gaps for many local businesses with creative product photography, contemporary headshots, and personal branding images for social media.

As if all of this wasn’t amazing enough, I was able to network locally with Willow and Birch Salon, and we are now offering hair and makeup services for our portrait sessions. In October, I was interviewed by the incredible Lana Shovlin for a spread on my self-value work through portraiture and was published in the Capital City Parent Magazine. I lent my services to the ALS Association and was invited to their local Walk as well as their fundraising Gala at Union Station in St. Louis. I worked really hard this year in a mentoring program and gained a lovely new friend to cheer me on from Nashville.

There are so many other BIG adventures in the works for 2022! I turn 40 this year, and I can just feel the forward movement rushing through me like a freight train. I am running towards those big dreams with an abundance of gratitude for all that I have been given. Thank you for supporting my small business and for cheering me on for the past decade! What a really incredible way to start a new chapter, and I look forward to seeing you all in the coming year!
